I was able to exper­i­ence firsthand the import­ance of asso­ci­ations as rep­res­ent­at­ives of industry interests through my work on vari­ous com­mit­tees of the industry asso­ci­ation Spectar­is. I value the mutu­al exchange with col­leagues in such com­mit­tees and see this as an oppor­tun­ity to influ­ence poten­tial reg­u­la­tions.

Great ideas can lead to fant­ast­ic products and excit­ing oppor­tun­it­ies, but the asso­ci­ated growth can be a major chal­lenge, espe­cially for small and medi­um-sized busi­nesses. Through my work in the star­tup and mid-sized sec­tor, I’m aware of the chal­lenges asso­ci­ated with rap­id growth and can par­tic­u­larly con­trib­ute my exper­i­ence in organ­iz­a­tion­al devel­op­ment. I’m pas­sion­ate about tech­no­logy and am always try­ing out new tech­nic­al solu­tions myself.

About me

Per­sever­ance and enthu­si­asm are two qual­it­ies that have enabled me to pur­sue my career so far. I was able to suc­cess­fully com­plete both my doc­tor­ate and my part-time MBA stud­ies and suc­cess­fully imple­ment the neces­sary realign­ment of entire organ­iz­a­tion­al units. As a super­visor, I am used to act­ing in the interest of the whole and imple­ment­ing decisions with the involve­ment of my col­leagues and employ­ees. As a depart­ment head, I have repeatedly coördin­ated cross-func­tion­al teams to address qual­ity and reg­u­lat­ory issues and suc­cess­fully brought them to a suc­cess­ful con­clu­sion. I am open to new ideas and sup­port them wherever pos­sible and eco­nom­ic­ally viable. For this reas­on, agile meth­ods have been used in my area of​respons­ib­il­ity for some time. From my work in the inter­na­tion­al research envir­on­ment, in a glob­ally act­ive medi­um-sized com­pany and in the field of renew­able ener­gies, I am aware of the cul­tur­al dif­fer­ences and take these into account in my argu­ments.
